This diamond is certified by the De Beers Institute of Diamonds as a Desert Diamond. Desert Diamonds are not from the desert, but are DeBeers branded champagne-colored diamonds certified by the Institute of Diamonds and are named after "their earthy, natural colors that mimic those of the desert."
